Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe is a British-Nigerian mixed race child was born into the family of South London. The mother of her child is English while her father is Nigerian. She grew up on a south London council estate, and went to The Brit School at age 14. She attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London where she gained a BA in acting. While at the academy, she performed in several stage productions, including the King Henry V playing Princess Katherine and Wuthering Heights portraying Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe first began her career as an actor in the movie Storm Damage. The actress has been a guest in Teachers Doctors Casualty Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's first film appearance was Woody Allen's Cassandra's Dream (2007), with Colin Farrell. In the following film, she appeared in Elisha, an episode of the BBC Three pilot drama, in West 10 LDN. In addition, she appeared as Ollie in the six episodes from Trexx, Flipside, and Flipside. She was Bambi in the ITV2 series Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe was the main character on How to Lose Friends And Alienate Others, a comedy released in the year 2008. Her credits in theatre are Little Sweet Thing or Roy Williams and Flight Path of David Watson.
Madekwe made her US debut in the 2009 Drama series The Beautiful Life, which was only broadcast for The CW before being cancelled. In February of 2011, she was cast in the role of Ashley Davenport in the ABC drama series Revenge. Madekwe was in the episodes in the series' second season as an regular. In May 2013, the news broke that Madekwe will be departing the show following her appearance as a guest on the opening episode for its third season. In 2014 and 2016, she starred as Tituba in the TV series Salem. Madekwe and her partner of many years, Iddo Goldenberg, were wed in June of 2012. Apart from Secret Diary of a Call Girl they have also worked in tandem on Salem and Iddo Goldberg had part in the show with her. that show.
Ashley Leggat is a Gemini-nominated actor who was raised by a big family. Her parents were Roy and Patty Leggat. Her parents were Roy and Patty and four older brothers -Rob, Brett, and twins Todd and Bram. Ashley's brothers were athletic and played baseball during summers as well as hockey in winter. Ashley could never walk, however she did dance. At the age of two, she took up Baby Ballet and fell in the love. Ashley discovered her love for dance when she was just a few years old. After graduating from High School, Ashley danced competitively in the highest divisions of tap, jazz, ballet pointe, acrobatics musical theatre, lyrical, and hip hop. She won the top soloist at each of the major dance competitions including, International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 5-6-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, and Dance, Dance, Dance just to mention a few.
