Katheryn Katheryn Suzy SuzyCanadian actor, director and director Katheryn Winnick starred in the widely praised, Emmy award-winning show on TV Vikings, produced by MGM as well as The History Channel. As well as her principal role on Vikings, an episode directed by Winnick began airing in 2020. Entertainment Weekly declared that her role was "Lagertha is possibly the most exciting feminist character on the screen." Her character has won numerous accolades for her performance as the fierce shieldmaiden. These include her winning the Women's Image Network Award for the best Actress of a TV Drama Series in 2018, the Critic's choice Award for the Top Supporting Actress and the Canadian Screen Award for the best performance by the lead drama Actress for 2014, The Women's Image Network Award for the Best Actress for a TV Drama Series for 2015 and 2016 as well as the Golden Maple Award for the Best Actress in a TV Series. Apart from these impressive nods Katheryn won the Serendipity film's Award for Excellence at the Banff World Media Festival in 2015. Katheryn was chosen to serve as one of the jurors in the 2019 Cannes Series Festival.
