Salma Hayek

SalmaSalma Hayek Pinault (born Salma Valgarma Hayek , born September 2, 1966)[3][4][5]), is an American and Mexican actress. Her film career began in Mexico in the telenovela Teresa, in which she was a lead in the telenovela Teresa (1989-1991), and the romantic drama El Callejon de los Milagros (1995), which resulted in an Ariel Award nomination. Her career quickly took off in Hollywood with appearances in films such as Desperado (1995), From Dusk till Dawn (1996), Wild Wild West (1999), and Dogma (1999). Hayek's role as Frida, the painter, in Frida (2002) and Frida (2002), which she also produced as well, made Hayek the first Mexican actor to be awarded the Academy Award [6]. In addition, it earned her the Golden Globe Award nomination, Screen Actors Guild Award nomination and British Academy Film Award nominations. In the following years, Hayek focused more on making films, while also starring in action-oriented films such as Once Upon a Time in Mexico
